I Will Get Well Soon —Saidi Balogun
Star actor, Saidi Balogun, who is recuperating at the West Ward 2 of the University Teaching Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, has assured his fans that he will be out of hospital soon.
Speaking with PMNEWS in his ward, Saidi, whose condition has improved tremendously after the ghastly auto crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway last week, simply said: “I am getting better,” when our reporter met him on his hospital bed yesterday. His wife, Fathia Balogun, who has been at the hospital to take care of Saidi and receive his visitors, has debunked the news making the rounds that Saidi's condition has deteriorated.
“My husband is fast responding to treatment as you can see for yourself. He did not suffer from spinal cord injury,” she said.
Fathia told P.M.NEWS that two other persons who were in the car with Saidi when the accident occurred have been treated and they are out of the hospital.
“In fact, the guy who drove the car did not sustain any injury,” she said.
At the hospital, Saidi was still wearing the neck brace and was on the bed resting when our reporter visited him. It was gathered that his doctor instructed that he must be on bed rest for his neck and injuries to be completely healed.
Yesterday, actors like Jinadu Ewele, Olofa Aina, Ojo Pagogo and other ANTP members were at the hospital to see him but they were prevented from entering the ward.
