"The Conflict Ended Naturally" - Veteran Actors Segun Arinze And Emeka Ike Resolve Feud
Popular veteran Nollywood actors, Emeka Ike and Segun Arinze, have resolved their conflict.
Recall that the duo's feud began in 2009 over the leadership position of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN. The outcome of the AGN presidential election, conducted in 2010, saw Segun Arinze emerge victorious over Emeka Ike. However, Emeka Ike refused to accept the result, and instead went to challenge the result in court requesting for the election to be nullified.
In a recent turn of event, Segun Arinze, speaking in a recent interview with QED.ng’s Olumide Iyanda, revealed that he and Emeka Ike are now on good terms. He stated that their conflict ended naturally.
Segun Arinze said:
“Emeka Ike is a fine actor. We still talk and laugh over those things. The conflict ended naturally. We weren’t quarrelling. It was just about the AGN position. That’s why I left the position.
“What are we having enemies for? Travel light. How long do you have to live in the world that you want to carry on your shoulders? What do I need that animosity for? We are growing old. He is my friend, and I have asked him to go for lunch or dinner whenever he is around.”
