Teebillz Apologizes to Toke Makinwa Over Derogatory Comments Amid 2Baba's Divorce Saga

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Nigerian music manager and ex-husband of popular singer Tiwa Savage, Tunji Balogun, professionally known as Teebillz, has apologized to media personality Toke Makinwa for his derogatory remarks directed at her. The comments followed Makinwa's reaction to legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba's divorce announcement.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, announced his divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia, in January. His public announcement did not sit well with Toke Makinwa, who hinted at exposing the singer.

Reacting to Makinwa's post, Teebillz shared a photo of himself with his ex-wife and their son, Jamil Balogun, on his Instagram page. He emphasized that family matters should remain private, indirectly referencing Makinwa. Additionally, he threw shade at her, stating that having a child for a man represents a unique level of forgiveness and love that she has yet to experience. He further prayed that she would soon attain such an experience.

In a recent turn of events, Teebillz took to his Instagram page to apologize to Toke Makinwa for his comments. He wrote:

“My sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed. I honestly acted out of character bcos of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and lack of understanding of the current occurrences.

“I hope you spare my ignorance. Hopefully, I get the chance to privately apologise to sort our differences. My action was exactly what I accused you of. Hope you forgive my emotional incompetence pls @tokemakinwa.”
