Davido Speaks For Other Nigerians Who Cannot Feed - Kanayo O Kanayo

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, has admonished Nigerians against criticizing Davido over his comments about the Nigerian and African economy.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Davido recently stated on American podcast, ‘Big Homies House’, advised black Americans against relocating to Africa. He explained that the African economy is in a mess currently, especially Nigeria.

The singer's comment about the Nigerian economy, however, sparked public outrage, with many criticizing his decision to paint the African and Nigerian economy bad on the global stage.

Kanayo via a video message on hia Instagram page urged Nigerians to leave Davido alone. He noted that the singer also has the right to free speech, and he can freely air his views.

Admonishing those asking the singer to apologize, Kanayo stated that Davido should not apologize for his earlier statement, and the singer is in fact speaking for Nigerians who cannot feed in the present economic situation.

"@davido spoke his mind, isn’t it not? Respect his views too. The Adelek’s can feed for life but it will be unholy if they assume all is ok because they are OK.

“Make una leave Davido alone over the comment he made. It is freedom of speech and he made the statement in good faith. It is left for those in power to work harder to give us a better Nigeria.

“Some people say he should apologize, for what? Those who criticize us want the best out of us.

Davido speaks for other Nigerians who cannot feed.”
