Primeboy Sues The Nigerian Police Force For Declaring Him Wanted

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

The childhood friend of late singer Mohbad, Ibrahim Owodunni, best known as Primeboy, has sued the Nigeria Police Force for declaring him wanted unjustly.

Recall that Primeboy recently threatened to sue late Mohbad's mother, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, on the grounds of defamation.

This time, Primeboy has now responded to the decision of the Lagos State Police Command, who declared him wanted on October 4, 2023, for not appearing in court to aid the investigation of late Mohbad. He, however, went willingly to the police the next day after being declared wanted.

However, in a new development, Primeboy through his lawyer in a statement, have requested for his name to be removed from the wanted list, and also sued the Police Force for violating his human rights.

The statement which was released by his lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona on Thursday, October 17 reads:

“Primeboy has sued the police via an originating motion filed on October 11 before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos

“His prayers to the court include a declaration that the special police gazette bulletin issued by the office of the IGP declaring Primeboy wanted was a contravention of Primeboy’s right to respect for the dignity of his human person.

“Also, Primeboy prayed the court to delist his name from the wanted list amongst other prayers."
