The Muslim music industry has lost one of its popular singers, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso, to the cold hands of death.

The death of the singer was made public by Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh, a Muslim cleric based in Ilorin, on his official Facebook page this morning.

Confirming the news, a media aide to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Jubril Aawatalso tweeted on X, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. Q 2 V 156.”

As at the time of this writing, there has been no official confirmation of the cause of the singer's death.
