The Popular embattled American Hip-hop singer, Sean Combs, popularly known as 'Diddy', has been arrested in New York.

The singer was arrested by federal agents in a Manhattan hotel, following a grand jury indictment.

His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, has bemoaned his client's arrest and termed it as unlawful. He faulted the US Attorney’s Office for putting his client under an unlawful judicial process.

Marc Agnifilo further explained that Diddy has done his best to comply with every instruction since the beginning of his trial; he noted how the singer even travelled to New York without much ado.

He said:
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

“Sean Combs is a music icon, a loving family man, self-made entrepreneur and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire and working to uplift the Black community.

“He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York a week ago in anticipation of these charges.

These are the acts of an innocent man and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."
