Rema Is An Up Comer In The Music Industry -- Daniel Regha
Popular controversial social media critic and celebrity tormentor, Daniel Regha has described afrobeats star, Rema as an up and coming artiste.
Recall that Rema recently sparked debate after his interview on 'The Breakfast Club’, where he claimed that his influence in music led international awards to create a category for Afrobeats.
He further boasted of being among the Big 4, which includes Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido.
He said:
"Respect to the OGs but yeah, I am one of the Big 4… Something as little as a major award shows creating an Afrobeats category because the success of my song has already opened gates.”
However, Daniel Regha disagrees with Rema's claim and called it bluff; he stated that the singer is not in any way close to the "Big 4."
He further noted that being among the Big 4 is not just about individual accomplishments, but longevity in the music industry is key.
He wrote on X:
"Rema is still an upcomer in the game & should be acknowledged as one. He's nowhere near being considered among the "Big 4". It is not just about individual accomplishments, longevity in the industry matters. He's a promising newbie, but it will take years of consistency for him to earn such recognition, & if such time comes he will be grouped with his set of present upcomers like Asake & Fireboy, not compared to industry icons that already cemented their legacies. No offense."
