Singer, Tems Speaks On Prison Experience
Popular Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, best known as Tems, has recounted her experience in prison and labelled it as something she cherishes.
Recall that Tems and her colleague, Omah Lay were nabbed by the Ugandan police on 12th, December 2020 over breaking COVID-19 protocol of social distancing.
The singer recently spoke on the experience of her time in the Ugandan prison and stated that it was an eye-opener for her, as it made her understand what people in prison are subjected to. She described that the whole prison lifestyle is one that taught her different lessons and in fact reduced her pride.
The singer opened up to ES Magazine, where she said;
“Prison was once in a lifetime experience that I actually feel honoured to have had because otherwise, I would never have thought about these people, and to be in their presence was very humbling.”
