BBC Documentary: YouTube Takes Down Emmanuel TV Channel
The BBC Documentary which laid serious allegations against the late founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua has led to numerous actions taken at the church and even his TV channels.
In a not so surprising turn of events, YouTube has removed Emmanuel Tv which was the main channel for broadcasting every activity of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
YouTube, however, stated the reasons for deleting the church's YouTube channel. The reason was due to Emmanuel's Tv media department releasing a video about the women who supported and contributed to the allegations levelled against the late founder of the church. The media department released videos to expose the characters of those women while they were still members of SCOAN.
The action by the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) triggered numerous criticisms and abuse at the women who levelled allegations against the late founder of the church. In fact, it subjected the women to hate speech which is seriously against YouTube’s policy and this has led to the removal of the church's YouTube channel.
In a statement made by YouTube; “The flagged channel was terminated for violating our hate speech policies. “
Furthermore, BBC has made a statement after YouTube deleted the church's channel, the statement says; “YouTube has terminated the official channel of disgraced Nigerian televangelist TB Joshua's megachurch for violating its hate speech policies."
