DEFINITE plans aimed at promoting the cultural values of Edo State and projecting same to the entire world kicks off with a socio cultural event to hold in Benin city from November 10 to 14 2009.

Tagged “Edo Unity Film Project 2009” with the theme “putting Edo State in the international map of film events” will feature among other things, seminars and symposia, workshop and talk shop sessions. Panel discussions, cultural exhibition and performances.

Others include film screening, festival, exhibitions, networking among film, television and multimedia practitioners and a Gala night.

According to the project director and notable Nollywood actor, Sam Obeakemhe, the event will hold at the Oba Akenzua II cultural centre, in Benin City.

Event already enjoys the blessing of the Edo state government, a statement issues by the organizers noted.
