Just after his epic show shutdown at the grand finale day of Felabration, and right after the announcement of his nomination for ‘Best African Act‘ alongside Tiwa Savage, Davido, Tekno and others on the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards platform, Starboy Wizkid has made the news again for yet another record breaking feat.

Wizkid has been announced as one the nominees for the Best International Act category of the MOBO 2017 Awards.

This singular accomplishment comes in three-fold:
Wizkid is the only African featured on this year’s Best International Act category nomination alongside global music heavyweights like Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and more others.

This is Wizkid’s first nomination on the category for Best International Act, and we’re not talking about Africa, like is usually the case for award platforms like MTV and BET.

Wizkid is the first Nigerian mainstream artiste to be featured on the nominees list for this highly coveted category award.
