Comedian Basketmouth has decided to reward the Nigerian Police with a strong promise of not making jest of them in his jokes anymore.

The comedian made this promise after the Police were up to their task by helping him find the thieves that robbed his house in late 2016, as they carted away some of his valuables including his phone.

Basketmouth was recently at the office of the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, where he was presented his Mobile Phone that was recovered from the robbers.

According to him while speaking with Dailypost, “I want to thank the Nigeria Police for a job well-done. I thought I will never see again the items stolen from my house, it is amazing that with two weeks of the robbery attack, the suspects were arrested, my handset recovered. I usually make negative jokes about our police, but with this performance, I will never use them for negative jokes. I advise members of the public to always support the police. In western nations, it is the public that assist the police for information against criminals.”
