Biafra Radio Intensify Broadcast Amid Director Arrest, Issue Ultimatum To FG
Despite the arrest of the director of Biafra radio, Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the broadcasting media keeps transmitting information to the generality of the public.
It would be recalled that amidst his return from London by the Department of State Service in Lagos.
It was gathered that despite the director arrest, the radio base transmission continued with broadcasting issuing the federal government ultimatum to release its director or face upheaval.
Attempt to speak with broadcast industry regulator failed as calls to the spokesperson for the National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Awwalu Salihu, were ignored.
But Salihu said the station appropriated a frequency that was never authorised to use; it also hopped on the frequency of licensed stations when they closed broadcast for the day, noting that the broadcast was being threaten by breach of national security.
But he declined disclosing the reason behind the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Biafra Radio.
