How My Father Tricked Me…L.A.X
Starboy record singer, Damilola Afolabi better known as L.A.X, says his father tricked him into going for his Masters after asking him to come down to the country.
L.A.X who graduated with a Masters degree from University of Manchester, explained to City People magazine that his father never knew he was doing music until one day he saw a musical video where he was singing and after some arguments, he gave his consent.
He stated that his father had promised him that after his University, he would be allowed to do music only for him to tell him that he has to go for his Masters before he can be given the support.
According to him, “In my family if you don't go to school they won't let you do music. My dad actually tricked me. My dad told me that after my undergrad I would be allowed to do music, so I came back to Nigeria all excited. And he was like you are going to do Masters. But the good thing about it is that I am even someone who even likes school. When I am in school I never use to go out. Its usually school-studio-school. I like school.”
