I Owe Nobody—Abike Dabiri Cries Out
Former House of Representatives member, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, is not happy with the way her name has been rubbished in the media after a top newspaper in Nigeria published her name and picture in their front page that she is one of a bank's debtors.
She refuted claims by the Nigerian Deposit Money Banks that a company in which she is a director, Thriller Eneavours, owed Diamond bank the sum of N122million.
An angry Abike took to her social media page to debunk the reports, stating that she was disappointed that her detractors could go that far to dent her image.
The former broadcaster said it must have been a case of mistaken identity and stressed that she is not a debtor.
“Must be mistaken identity. Also writing Diamond bank and CBN to set the records straight. Definitely not me. Shocked to see my pics, said to owe 100m linked to some company. I owe no one, not even myself? Haba.
“As to detractors, you can't get me, will remain my calm, honest self, Shame on you. Never even heard the name of the company. Will get to the bottom of this,” she wrote on Twitter.
