Obi Asika Loses Mum To Death

This is not the best time for Storm Records executive, Obi Asika and his family members. The ace music promoter has been hit with the sad news of the loss of his mother.

Recall that the showbiz guru was recently appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan to handle his social media during the 2015 general elections. He took over from Reno Omokri, who was then handling the same job for the President.

Obi Asika's aged mum, Mrs Chinyere Asika passed on 'peacefully in her sleep' yesterday morning, the label boss' sister, Nkiru Asika confirmed.

Penning down her tribute, Nkiru wrote, “We have been so lucky. We have been so blessed. We love you mummy always. Thanks for all the kind words and support from those of you who heard and are sharing our pain. I know this is a deep, deep loss for so many of you too.

“To those of you who don't know, we lost our mum yesterday morning. Quite unexpectedly but peacefully, she passed away in her sleep. May she rest in peace with dad always.”

Meanwhile, the burial plans are yet to be announced by the mourning family.
