Why I Named My New Album After My Late Grandma—Sarkodie
Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has finally released his most anticipated album of the year called 'Mary.'
The singer, who was delighted to have been able to complete the job, explained that it took him two years to prepare the album.
He stated that he has been doing songs but decided never to talk about the album so as to enable him concentrate and give it the best shot he can.
Sarkodie disclosed that he decided to name the album after his late Grandma who has always wanted him to record a live music but could not live to see his vast growth.
According to him, "Took me 2 years to record this Album * Mary * .... Didn't tweet or talk about it cos I needed Time, patience and a sound mind to record #NoPressure . Thank God I finally wrapped up????????????????. Mary is named after my late GrandMa who always wanted me to record live music but couldn't live to see me do it... may her soul rest in peace. All instruments on this album was recorded Live!!! Thanks to the genius Akwaboah who worked on this project with me... As an artist it is very important to challenge yourself and I'm proud I did ??.. I know my fans will love this project and appreciate it due the amount work and effort that went into it... documented the whole studio sessions and promise to share with yall!!! God bless teamsark.
