I Never Fought With Essence, We Are Still Close—Kenny Saint Best
Kennis Music gospel artiste, Kenny Saint Best, has cleared the air about rumour earlier making the rounds that she broke up with label mate, Essence, who was once her backup singer.
She explained that she still goes to event with the sonorous singer. It was said in some sections of the media that KSB, as the gospel artiste is fondly called, stopped going to functions with Essence in order to attend events with her elder sister, Moji Dokpesi, wife of Raypower FM and AIT owner, Raymond Dokpesi.
Speaking on a radio show on Wednesday afternoon, which was monitored by Nollywoodgists.com, KSB said Essence will not join her in politics because she (Essence) does not have the strength to face the rigour associated with politics.
“I and Essence never had any issue. I am heading towards a tougher side which is politics and people cannot expect to see us together. Essence just decided to calm down because she does not have the strength to pursue politics like me,” she explained.
According to her, she has been into music for the past 16 years and will continue to remain in the industry.
“Music is a stage where you have to bring new songs every time. My calling now is national building which means youth empowerment. I have been in the corridor of politics for six years now, not that I am new into it and I have been working with some politicians to empower the youths in my local government area,” she disclosed.
