NOLLYWOOD STARS HONOURED
Azu Amatus, an entertainment reporter with The Sun Newspapers was honoured alongside other Nollywood stars at the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) Award held at Hotel Presidential, Enugu, last Friday.
The CDGN plaque given to Amatus as the Most Creative Entertainment Journalist of the year, is an addition to the numerous awards in his kitty.
During the glamorous award ceremony, veteran actress, Patience Ozokwor, was honoured as Actress of the year, while Emeka Ike received the actor of the year award.
In other categories, John Okafor emerged comedian of the year, Tchidi Chikere - best director, Solomon Apete - best producer while Andy Best clinched the best executive producer category.
Others include best visual effects - Shola Akinbo; best screenplay - Nkem Alu; best make-up artiste - Gabazzini; upcoming actor - Mac Morris; upcoming actress - Mercy Johnson and film of the year, Eran and Erak.
A post humous award was given to the late guru, JT Tom West.
