Acclaimed movie director Ebereonwu has died in a car accident on Good Friday April 6th 2007. He was driving back after an informal business meeting from the celebrity hangout Ojeez.

Nollywoodgists.com has learnt in exclusivity and from reliable sources that three hours before the tragedy, Ebereonwu was on the phone with movie director Afam Okereke making plans to contest for the presidency of the National Movie Directors Association.

"Misery loves company" the popular say goes. Ebereonwu ,who was grieving the death of his mother, was supposed to bury her today April 10th 2007. His beloved mother died a few days ago.

At press time, both bodies are lying in a mortuary until further burial arrangements are made public.

Ebereonwu has made history in Nollywood by directing such blockbusters as The Intruder, Heritage, Discord and Saviour, to name but a few.
