CORA and iREP Present ‘Art Stampede’
The Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) and the iREP Documentary Film Forum have partnered to present a special edition of Art Stampede: New Trends in Nollywood, an interactive forum involving producers and directors in the Nollywood scene.
The forum, which will take place on Sunday, May 22, 2010 at the Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos will take and introspective look at the 'new Nollywood' through general discussions and contributions from popular producers and directors.
Producers from new narratives like Figurine, Through the Glass, Reloaded, Tango With Me, Ije, Inale, Tenant, Bent Arrows, Champion of our Times, Bursting Loose, Holding Hope, Private Storm, Jungle Ride, In America, Anchor Baby, Mirror Boy, Alero's Symphony, Lilies of the Ghetto, The Child amongst many others will come together to examine pertinent issues and discuss possible solutions.
'These are obviously works have helped to shape and redefine movie making in Nollywood. We intend to engage those behind these works in an intellectually engaging and stimulating dialogue that will help us appreciate the new bend that Nollywood is negotiating', CORA's spokesman Ayo Arigbabu says.
Film critic, editor and managing editor of National Mirror, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, will moderate the forum
