More Entertainers Back Goodluck Jonathan
Following the declaration of some Nollywood stars to support the ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2011 general elections, more entertainers have followed suit.
The movie stars, led by Francis Duru, were joined by other entertainers at the Eagle Square recently, where they performed and pledged their support for the President.
Some of the entertainers include D'Banj, Wande Coal, Weird MC, Sasha, Yinka Davies, Onyeka Owenu, Felix Liberty, Daddy Showkey and Yemi Showunmi among others.
The team, known as the Goodluck Support Group Campaign, is sponsored by Princess Stella Odua of the Sea Petroleum Oil and Gas and coordinated by the Abuja-based actor, Francis Duru.
Already, three campaign projects are being propagated by the Goodluck Support Group Campaign and they come in the musicians' category, the movie practitioners' category and the ex-footballers' category.
The musician's category, which produced an album tagged Goodluck Jonathan, has top musicians like Naedo, 6ft Plus, Keffi, Waje, Annie Macaulay, Zion, Chris Mba, Zaaki Adzee, Sunny Neji, Sammie Okposo, African China, Tosin Martins and Daddy Showkey.
One of the songs is written by Sammie Okposo and co-produced by Francis Duru
The project with Nollywood stars having a cameo appearance is known as I Believe In Good Luck Jonathan, which was produced by Cobhams Asuquo. It features top Nigerian and actors like Desmond Elliot, Ufuoma Ejenobor, Ngozi Nwosu, Nonso Diobi, Clem Ohameze, Femi Brainard, Linc and Yul Edochie, Yemi Balq and Mercy Aigbe.
Others are Ejike Asiegbu, Uche Iwuji, Chinyere Winifred, Uche Obodo, Emmanuella Njudigbo, Maureen Solomon, Tony Umez, Emeka Enyiocha, Benita Nzeribe, Anne Macaulay and several top Northern-based Nigerian actors.
The third project involved Nigerian ex and current international footballers. They are Mutiu Adepoju, Peter Rufai, Austin Eguavoen, Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amuneke, Ben Iroha, Mobi Oparaku, Uche Okafor, Ifeanyi Udeze and Taribo West.
