AGN Mourns Yar’Adua
Members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), have sent a condolence message to the family of the late President Umaru Yar'Adua and Acting President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a statement signed by the National President of the guild, Segun Arinze, the actors described Yar'Adua's death as a big loss, particularly at a time the country is planning to celebrate its golden jubilee anniversary.
The statement read in part: “On behalf of the Actors' Guild of Nigeria, we condole with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as we mourn the death of our President. We pray that God grants him eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“We ask all Nigerians to support Goodluck Jonathan as he steers this ship called Nigeria. What a time to lose a President as the country clocks 50? God bless Nigeria.”
