By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Many Nigerians have reacted to the arrest and latest conviction of popular transgender, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

Recall that “Mummy of Lagos,” was convicted of his crimes of naira mutilation on Friday, April 12, 2024, and was sentenced to 6-month in prison with no option of a fine by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Following Bobrisky's conviction, many Nigerians have aired their views and believe that there was a hidden agenda against Bobrisky's arrest, citing the fact that he was not the first person to commit such offense this year, yet he was arrested and convicted, while others were not.

In light of this, popular Twitter influencer with the handle of _AsiwajuLerry aired his view on Bobrisky's arrest on the popular microblogging platform X formerly known as Twitter.

He tweeted!
“This Bobrisky sentence is a matter of the more you look the less you see. There are people who have committed far more heinous crimes than what he did and they got bail options.

He’s being scapegoated and everyone is laughing cos it’s someone the general public doesn’t like.”
