Fela Is The True King Of Afrobeats: Daniel Regha Emphasizes
The debate of the king of Afrobeats in Nigeria have continued to trend for some years now, many artistes have acclaimed themselves as the king of afrobeats.
Surprisingly, in recent times, some popular Nigerian artistes have began downplaying the significance of Afrobeats by denouncing it as their genre of music and instead announcing another style.
In all of these, social media critic and celebrity tormentor, Daniel Regha has decided to make his stance on the king of Afrobeats. He took to the popular microblogging platform X formerly known as Twitter to share his stance on who the king of Afrobeats is.
He wrote; “It's actually very disrespectful to call anyone the "King of Afrobeats" asides from Fela; Without Fela there will be no afrobeats. He not only pioneered the genre, but till date many continue to draw inspiration from his songs. Fela remains number one, others are self-titled.”
