Nigeria Star Receives Title Abroad
Popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke has been conferred a chieftaincy title of “OHADIKE 1 OF NDIGBO” by HRH Dr AMB. Chuwudi J Ihenetu, Ezi Ndibgo in Ghana. This development has stirred firm controversies among Nigerians.
Moreover, a number of Nigerian celebrities including music star D’banj, actor, Alex Ekubo and reality TV star, Teddy A, were conferred with chieftaincy titles in 2018
The occasion was a celebration of the 10th New Yam Festival. The actor who received the chieftancy title on Sunday in Ghana is a Forty-five year-old Nigerian actor and director. He released his debut movie ‘Bad Comments’ in 2021
The coronation took place alongside the occasion of the tenth New Yam Festival and the actor was conferred with the title of, ‘Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” by His Royal Highness, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu.
According to Ihenetu, the movie star was recognised for his achievements and contributions to the African entertainment industry and the Igbo people.
