Dele Abiodun Takes Over PMAN Secretariat
The president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Admiral Dele Abiodun, has taken over the association's secretariat.
http://nollywoodgists.com learnt that Abiodun and over 70 musicians stormed the secretariat yesterday, to take over the office which was once occupied by the factional leader, Teemac Omatseli. Investigations revealed that the decision to take over the secretariat was taken by a group known as the PMAN Revolutionary Group, after a court order had sacked Teemac and Co.
http://nollywoodgists.com learnt that, after a series of meetings, the group decided to take over the secretariat after which the group invited Dele Abiodun to take over the office. At about 1p.m., yesterday, the artistes, chanting war songs, invaded the secretariat, forced the main gate open and later invited Abiodun to take over. http://nollywoodgists.com further learnt that though they were initially resisted by some thugs and bouncers at the secretariat, the artistes eventually overpowered them.
Speaking with http://nollywoodgists.com after the take over, the PMAN president said it is a new dawn. Some of the artistes who were at the secretariat include Eddy Remedy, Wale Thompson, Champion Kunle Opio, Bombo Agogo, Bayo Hawan, Fancy Aye Alanu and many others.
