Sonnie Badu Nominated For AFRIMMA Awards
UK- Based International Act, Sonnie Badu has been nominated for the third edition of the African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
The awards which are slated for October 15, 2016 will be held in Dallas, Texas.
The International Gospel singer has been nominated for the Best Gospel category alongside SP kofi Sarpong. The two musicians from Ghana are contending with other gospel acts like Nigeria’s Uche Agu and Sinach, Kenya’s Willy Paul, Congo’s Icha Kavons and South Africa’s Ntokozo Mbambo.
The two acts from Ghana join the likes of Sarkodi, Bisa Kdei, Efya, MzVee, Kofi Kinaata,Phamous Films, DK Akua, Kaywa, Stonebwoy, Samini, and R2Bees who have also have been nominsted for other categories.
In all the ceremony would see about 25 awardees being honoured on that day for the 25 categories.
In an interview with Sonnie Badu, he explains that he is humbled to be nominated and recognized for his contribution to the gospel music. He is optimistic that the best candidate would win.
