Court Sacks NFF President, Amaju Pinnick
Emerging reports has it that a federal high court sitting in Jos, the Plateau state Capital, has sacked the Amaju Pinnick-led board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Pinnick had won Giwa in a contentious election at the NFF general congress held in Warri in 2014, after the exit of erstwhile president Aminu Maigari in 2014 due to Nigeria's poor world cup failure.
With the court ruling, it has now empowered Ambassador Chris Giwa, proprietor of NPFL side Giwa FC to resume office immediately as substantive president of the football federation.
The power issue between Giwa and Pinnick has lingered for long as it led to the former President of the country, Goodluck Jonathan, stepping in to settle the crisis to avoid Fifa's sanction but it never looked as if all was well until the recent court ruling.
