Shoki, Shakitibobo: EFCC Arrests NBC DG Emeka Mba Over Alleged Fraud
Some musicians whose songs were banned recently will be smiling at their various homes after news of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested the Nigerian broadcasting Commission Director General, Emeka Mba.
According to reports, Emeka was arrested on 11, January, 2016, in Abuja, after the EFCC had for the last one month been monitoring the activities of the commission.
It was reported that the EFCC had last week, stormed the headquarters of the NBC, ransacking computers and files in the finance and account unit.
During the operation, some key staff were taken away and it is being alleged that some confessional statements were made to the EFCC implicating Mba and some other top officials of NBC who were the brain behind the ban of some songs in the country like, Shoki, Shakitibobo, fans Mi and other songs.
