Government Has Neglected Teachers—Grace Amah
Teachers were recently celebrated across the globe. The United Nations set aside a day to appreciate the impeccable roles played by teachers.
Nigeria was not left out that day and citizens of the country joined others to celebrate the Teachers' Day.
Recently, there have been intense calls from different quarters for upgrade of the educational sector in Nigeria.
Nollywood actress, Grace Amah, believes that the teachers have been neglected “especially in developing nations like Nigeria and Africa.”

She stated that the governments have chosen to concentrate more on irrelevant issues rather than focusing its attention on the main source of human development which is education.
Grace said the negligence of government to the sector as what leads to some Universities "turning to breeding centres for cultists and training campuses for political thugs for politicians."
