Dele Abiodun Set To Return To On Stage
Veteran Juju musician, Dele Abiodun, is set to return to the stage in Sobe, Edo State on September 26, and will be performing at the Sobe Day.
According to Dr. Funsho Osoro, the anniversary planning committee secretary, said that the week-long event will unify all sons and daughters of Sobe, especially those in the foreign lands, for the growth of the town.
“The event, which started in 1991 to commemorate the merger of Sobe with its kin in Edo State, has evolved into a Christmas of a sort for the indigenes,” he noted.
The chairperson of this year's celebration is US-based academic, Dr Mrs. Kate Obasuyi (nee Addo). The Event, will witness a football competition, free medical services, folk tales, cultural performances, a youths' night and beauty pageant,” Osoro concluded.
