NBC Ban On My Songs Irrelevant—Lil Kesh
Lil Kesh, one of Olamide's protégés, has explained the reasons why he indulges the usage of vulgar words in his music. The 'Shoki' crooner told Pulse TV in a chat that he was also surprise by the decision of the NBC to stop the airing of his 'Gbese' single on terrestrial stations.
He however thanked the body for banning the song after making waves.
According to him, “I don't see anything vulgar in 'Gbese' but I appreciate the ban after the song had blown, I could remember they banned 'Shoki' also when even JSS 2 students had it on their phones so their ban doesn't make any difference but more controversy and putting my name out there again so no wahala.”
He further said, “They are singles, not an album. I know the kind of market I am directing my songs to, I am from the streets, I know what the people from the streets want to listen to.
“A normal conductor on the street can be vulgar for 24 hours, so to catch his attention, you need to study the kind of life he lives. Whichever way, all that is going to change before people tag me vulgar they should wait for my album that is expected to drop towards the end of the year, I have very positive songs.”
