Nollywood Actor, Chris Bassey Loses Father
An actor in the Nigeria movie industry, Chris Bassey and his family members are still in shock over the demise of the patriarch of the house, His Royal Majesty, Dr Etim Ekpo Etinyin Okon 1.
Dr Etim Ekpo Etinyin Okon 1 was the first paramount ruler Of Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State. He was born on October 10, 1960.
The monarch, who died some days ago at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) on Court Road in Calabar, was said to have diligently ruled Akpabuyo community with passion, helping the area maintain peace.
He was said to have suffered from diabetes.
Nollywoodgists.com learnt that the traditional ruler has since been buried according to custom.
Son of the deceased, Chris Bassey, disclosed to us that an elaborate burial ceremony would be held at a later date.
The late monarch obtained a Doctorate degree in Business Administration at a British university.
