How Superstars Brought 'Peace' To Abuja
In the course of promoting peace in the coming elections, some artistes have given back to the fans for their loyalty at the just concluded RSVP Abuja Peace Concert put together by the campaign group, Enough Is Enough Nigeria, EiE Nigeria, at the Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Sheraton hotels, Nigera.
The Abuja concert which was held on Thursday, 26th March, is targeted at educating the Nigerian populace about a peaceful electoral process has gone through about six cities in the federation with superstars, Sound Sultan, MI, Julius Agwu among the ambassadors.
The programme's Nigerian Director, Jude Ilo explained the purpose of the concerts is for the youths to join in making their voices heard through a non-violent and protected election process starting tomorrow throughout the country.
He said, "No one should allow themselves be used by politicians to shed blood or vandalize properties. That speaks very low of the leaders of tomorrow we are preparing ourselves to be. Please beware Nigerians. Let's Vote, Not Fight."
One of the ambassadors of EiE RSVP, M.I also said, "It is important to engage as many young people as possible in the governance process and whenever I can lend my voice and my time."
The concert organisers also gave away laptops, phones to some upcoming acts who dazzled during their performances.
