For an artiste to buy a song, it's a welcoming idea but the owner of the song get the copyright credit, in this case, the buyer of such songs will not take another man's glory. We know of international stars like Babyface selling songs to the late pop king, Michael Jackson, it was on record that Babyface sold the song.

Recently, Davido hit town with another hot banger titled, Gobe, according to people in the know, the song is actually a brainchild of another upcoming artiste called Password, who was said to have sold the song for N500, 000 to Davido.

Since this is the second handwork of Omo Baba Olowo, his fans expected him to have worked hard to compose songs himself not buying from people.

While his fans are busy lampooning him all over the place, some of his die-hard-fans said,If the song was bought from Password, It seems not to be a bad idea, There is no superman anywhere, I salute Davido's courage to buy intellectual properties, more than 60% of songs are being written by lyrics writers and some composed by composers.”

Hours after the release Davido's single, another version quite similar to the pop star's surfaced online The same song by an upcoming singer-producer named Password apparently bears the same title 'Gobe' and it was released a year ago.

But contrary to that, Password (who gained little buzz after featuring on Darey's 'Style na style' remix) had made online release for the same song in July 2011 but it seemed not to have garnered any buzz back then. Sources says Password who produced and wrote the first version of 'Gobe' allegedly sold the song to Davido for a sum of money possibly up to N500,000.
