SOCCER STAR SAMUEL ETO'O LAUNCHES OWN MOBILE NETWORK IN CAMEROUN
Four-time African Footballer Of The Year and Anzhi Makhachkala of Russia striker, Samuel Eto'o has taken a big step to join the league of African business moguls with his entry into the telecommunication business.
Eto'o, 30, launched SET'Mobile on Thursday, December 29 2011 in Yaounde with more than 50,000 SIM cards already sold out. The network is set to be activated on January 21, 2012.
The former Inter Milan striker has a lot investment in hotel business both in Cameroun and other parts of the world, but decided to set up the Telecoms Company to create cheap access and better service to his people.
The country currently has two mobile network companies, MTN and Orange operating there.
