One of the most impressive news going round in the Lagos Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, is how its executive members were able to settle the 2years squabbles they had with top actor Emeka Ike.

According to information gathered from insiders sources, the steps to make peace with the Mechanical Engineer turned actor started last year with various meetings which he refused to honor.

Subsequently, they were said to have employed the strategy of speaking with veteran actors, stakeholders and people in the fourth estate of the realm whom Emeka has great respect for. With the gathering of the egg heads, we learnt that Emeka had no option but to succumb to the pressure put on him by these people and at a closed door meeting where all the excos of the Lagos chapter gathered, they apologized to him and pleaded with him to allow peace to reign and for them to have a peaceful and successful tenure.

It was informed that after explanations were given to the aggrieved actor concerning the chapter's election which took place when his court case against the National President of AGN, Segun Arinze was in progress, he had to see reason with them and accepted their apology.

We gathered that the exco members told him that they needed to move the chapter forward since they were in need of a leader.

We equally gathered that former Lagos chapter Chairman, Remmy Ohajianya who was forced out of office at the beginning of ex-National President,Ejike Asiegbu's tenure, was equally paid a visit where proper apologies were rendered to him.

According to the source, reconciling with Ohajianya was not strenuous for the chapter as he appreciated the fact that they recognized him as someone who needed to be reunited in the guild.

Recall that Emeka Ike broke ranks with the Lagos chapter where he was an influential member after the election that was conducted at the time he was in court challenging Segun Arinze's election.
