RICHARD MOFE DAMIJO IS UNDISPUTABLE KING OF BOYS
Some Nigerian acting celebrities have taken over. They now stage very classy events that can be compared to those organized by their contemporaries abroad, Hon. Barrister Richard Eyimofe Damijo's recent 50th birthday bash held inside the auditorium of the Household of God Church, Oregun, Ikeja was an example of one of those events that can't be forgotten in a hurry.
From the watertight security to the interior décor, to the choice food and drinks that were served and to the quality of guests that turned up, the event had all the trappings of a party organized to honour a king.
Those who are familiar with RMD, as the actor, public relations practitioner and former publisher is simply called, say they are not surprised at the colour of the gig.
As a young boy growing up in Warri, Eyimofe was the acclaimed king of boys. His family's little home in Warri was usually a beehive of performances and laughter, a reason they also say that they were not surprised that performances and laughter were not in short supply at the birthday gig that was chaired by the Executive Governor of Delta State Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan himself. RMD is the current Commissioner for Commerce and Tourism in Delta State.
